🌾 My Story: The Long Road Back to Myself
🌿 Roots & Rebellion
I grew up in the 1960s — a time of color, change, and questions. Even then, I felt drawn to something beyond the ordinary. The world called it “hippie.” I called it freedom. I loved the flowy fabrics, the layered beads, the barefoot afternoons that smelled like earth and rebellion. But it wasn’t just a style — it was a mindset. One that whispered, “There’s more to life than what we’re told.”
Like many, I took the expected path. I got married young. Too young. And before I had the chance to truly know myself, I was learning how to build a life with someone else.
🌍 A Life Abroad
That early decision led me to travel the world — something I’ll never regret. I lived in places where life moved slowly, where people shared coffee and conversation without hurry, and where streets were worn with centuries of soul. Living abroad showed me how rich simplicity can be. In those quiet corners of the world, I felt most alive.
Then life shifted again. Divorce. Reinvention. I became a woman navigating foreign streets alone — and something unexpected happened. I grew. I slowed down. I started listening to my own rhythm.
Eventually, I returned to the U.S., but something inside me stayed elsewhere. While the world buzzed with productivity and pressure, I missed the stillness of my slower, soulful life.
🧠Returning to Myself
Years passed. Children grew. Grandchildren arrived — one of life’s greatest blessings. And now, with time that’s once again my own, I feel the pull to return to the parts of myself I left behind.
Boho Living Journal is my way home.
It’s a space where creativity, ritual, and intention meet. A place where design holds meaning, where stories carry weight, and where soul-led living is not only welcome — it’s celebrated.
This isn’t just a blog. It’s a home for the pieces of me I’ve gathered along the way.
If you’ve ever felt the urge to slow down, simplify, or surround yourself with beauty that speaks — you’re in the right place.
✨ Why I Write
Through this journal, I hope to share more than ideas. I hope to offer reminders — that your space can nourish you, your spirit can guide you, and your past doesn’t define you, but it can improve the beauty of your present.
Thank you for being here. Thank you for walking this path with me.
